All new carriers after being issued a new Safety Fitness Certificate (SFC) will be required to undergo a NCCR within 12 months of operation by a certified third party auditor/reviewer. The review focuses on assessing the Carrier's on-road safety performance and compliance with regulatory requirements.

If a Carrier fails to complete the NCCR within 12 months of operation they may have their SFC suspended/cancelled by Alberta Transportation.
